Juliet's Personal Challenge

On Dottie's World the lovely Juliet set herself a personal challenge to try out all the Dottie and George downloads. Juliet has invited visitors to join her in her challenge; here is a card I did for Juliet's challenge, using a Dottie image I haven't yet used - Clown Dottie.

Pop over to Dottie's World tomorrow for the Sunday challenge :o)

Basic Grey Euphoria

I never tire of Basic Grey, their collections consistently surprise me in their variety. What I like most about them (apart from the fantastic quality) is the fact that they present a large array of goodies all coordinating beautifully; no hunting around for things to match, each collection contain everything you could possibly need. The more I look at each collection, the more I like it; the same can be said for the Euphoria range, I just like it more and more. Bright, fresh, summery colours, with a hint of lime, this range is a real fashion statement!

UKS Retailers CJ

This is the last entry in the second UKS Retailers circle. It has been a bit of a rough ride but I have enjoyed making the entries. I now can't wait to see the entries in my own book.

The theme this time was "Pop Idol", but to be honest I have always been more of a rock chick so "Rock Idol" was more appropriate. The centrepiece on the first page folds out to reveal my writing.

Don't get me wrong, I love a ballad and have been known to play "I will always love you" over and over again for about 3 months, but my heart will always be with these great guys!

Basic Grey papers, fibres and black brads. I also used the new K&Co Rock Star Adhesive Chipboard - it arrived just in the nick of time.

New Christmas Collection!

Oh the new Christmas Collection by Louise Brigden is FABULOUS, and available to buy right NOW! Too early for Christmas I hear you say? Don't be silly, it's never too early to start thinking about making the mound of Christmas cards you have to get out - you don't want to leave it to the last moment now, do you? ;o)

This mega set of downloads contain images, backgrounds, accessories and sentiments. The picture below shows just some of the images. I just love having Lou on board the Charmed train, not only is she super talented but she is such a lovely person too.

Beach Weather?

It's cold! It is so cold that I am sitting enveloped in my trusty blanket as we speak!! It started out alright with sunshine and warm weather this morning, but come lunchtime it was bucketing it down and it was only a warm coat, gloves and scarf that could keep the cold at bay!

Nevertheless my girls ventured to Brighton with their dad today. They didn't seem to have found it cold and even paddled in the sea!! They don't get their stamina from me - although I did use to be able to run about with hardly anything on and not feel the cold.

What is it with Brighton and traffic btw, it took them an hour to get there but almost FIVE hours to get back! Almost two hours of that was going from the car park about 2 miles down the road! Tired and suffering badly from road rage they arrived back at 8pm this evening. I of course snatched the camera our of their cold quivering hands and made up a couple of digi layouts straight away from two great pictures - never mind seeing to their needs; priorities and all that, right girls? ;o)

Father's Day Card

Just wanted to show you a card I made for Dottie's World, using the "George at Work" download bundle (ignore the additional eyeliner, I forgot to trim it lol).

Oh and here is one I made for Sunday's Challenge - Double-Up - using both Dottie and George.

Birthday Girl!!

We have a little birthday girl in the house! My darling daughter is 10 today :o) Here is the card I made her. Each word circle describes something about her:

"Amber the brilliant cyclist"
"Amber the fabulous dancer"
"Amber the amazing pianist"
"Amber the sweetest little girl"

Check out our online classes on how to make these word cicles. I used Sakura Glaze pen (circles) and Stardust pen ("Is 10") to colour in the words - font "Jokerman". K&Co Hopscotch Girl Grand Adhesions used also, with a little Stickles glitter glue for sparkle.

Kitty Cards

I wanted to make some cards using the new Cat Collection download and my blimming printer decided to play up! The colours are therefore not quite as intended, but you get the drift. To add insult to injury I placed my paper trimmer on top of the "Oops" card before the glossy accent on the fish tank could dry! Ever had one of those days where you wish you had stayed in bed?

Check out the new Cat Gallery on the main site for ideas on how to use your cat downloads.

Another Birthday Party

I was looking at birthday cards yesterday as the girls are going to a party today - how expensive are they??!!! I quickly abandoned that idea and made one myself (well I should do anyway, right?). I always put the recipients name on the card when it is for a child, and it always delights. They just love seeing their name in print.

Glossy Accents used for balloons, age and name, Stickles glue dotted on background. Can't get the natural lighting today so had to use the flash. It does show the Glossy Accents though :o)
