Summer?

I do believe we have a bit of summer!! What a shame it wasn't like this when my girls went with their dad to Devon for the week! They had a whole two hours surfing in the sea and quoted it as the highlight from the week, bless. Give them a surfboard, the sea, and a warmish climate, and they are as happy as pigs in poo! So this bit of summer came two weeks too late. Just look at this Devon beach in the middle of August, just one of my girls crawling up, totally deserted apart from them. :

When Aimee was buried in the sand in this picture she wore her bodysuit!

Good job they had this absolutely gorgeous villa to relax in - just check out the garden!! There were four patio areas alone! Yes, that little bridge is part of the garden!

It was MASSIVE!!!

The house (and you should see it inside:

Gorgeous eh? The moral of the story is this: make sure you have a gorgeous place to stay if holidaying in Britain as the weather is bound to be totally cr*p the week you go (insert wry smile here).

Changing the subject completely here is a quick example card I just made using one of my baby sentiment circles. Light is rubbish at the moment so I'll replace when I can.

Products used here:
  • Imaginisce Baby Powder paper "Tiny Tantrum" (Doublesided and both sides are used here)
  • Imaginisce Pink Polished Pebble Brad
  • Basic Grey Pink Brad
  • Imaginsce Baby Powder Ribbon
  • White Acrylic Paint (for around the scallops)
  • 3-D Embellishments "Pastel Zoo Animals".

Thanks for visiting xx

Blog Candy Winner!

Crikey that took a long time LOL Writing all those names was not a mean task, most of them had to be written twice! Still, it was a pleasure knowing that one of you would be my winner. My girls were very excited and helped write the names (I called them out, they took turns in writing a name). The name eventually drawn was...........
KATTY BELL

Dottie and George on Layouts

I realised earlier that I have never seen any of our downloads used on layouts, yet they present a unique way of adding fun and innovative design to any scrapbook page. I therefore seized the chance to use the new Halloween Collection created by Louise Brigden and two of the designs from there, "Flying with Dottie" and "Ghost George". I keep harping on about this but once again it demonstrates how versatile these downloads are as you are able to create just the size that you want.

Products used:
Images from the Halloween Download bundle
Imaginisce Hallowhimsy paper, Spider sticker and Epoxy brad
Bazzill Cardstock
Basic Grey Red Buttons
K&Co Self-adhesive chipboard (Bat, Cat, "Eek")

By the way, how many pictures do you take of your projects before you are happy with the outcome (if ever you ARE happy with the outcome that is)? I wont tell you how many I took for this one, the light was rubbish and I just couldn't get it right! As always it looks so much better "in the flesh".

Come back tomorrow and I'll announce my blog candy winner.

Tag, Hearts and Flowers Challenge PLUS Free Word Circle # 5

Adele set her first Sunday challenge over on Dottie's World, and a great challenge it is too. Adele wanted the following:

"I want to see tags, tags of any shape or size. It could be tag shape toppers, gift tags, tag books....and because we have just celebrated our wedding anniversary....I want to see hearts and flowers too!!!"

Well here was the perfect excuse for making another Word Circle Sentiment for you! I made this one into a large tag and embellished with a coloured Mum to Be Dottie from the "Love and Marriage" download bundle. The background is rather generic in greens and yellows; blue and pink have also been used including on the edge of the circle where half is inked pink and the other half blue - assuming this new mummy to be does not know the gender of her child.

Also used:
  • Cuttlebug Heart Blocks Embossing folder
  • Imaginisce Baby Powder Paper , ribbon, large crystal brad and flower
  • K&Co Berry Sweet Adhesive borders (the monkeys)
  • Small Pink/Blue/GreenBasic Grey brads in my doodled Heart Flower border and large pink and Blue BG brads

.....and here is your sentiment circle (copyrighted for personal use only).

I am going to make you a couple of circles for a new baby boy and a new baby girl next week so watch this space.
