Key to my heart...

What a gloomy Saturday it is, absolutely perfect weather for staying indoors and getting inked up :-) Our new stamps should be arriving next week, and it will be absolutely thrilling to see them in the flesh. In the meantime Louise Brigden and I have been showcasing the stamps on our new blog "Charmed Delectable Stamps" to whet the appetite. Here is a card using the adorable Annie & Ted stamp.

I love these metal keys by K&Co. They are from the new Life's Journey collection (as opposed to the old from from about 5 years ago) and just like antique real keys. The flower is Prima.

I used K&Co Que Sera Sera paper for the background, and a Que Sera Sera notepad sheet for the centre. The butterfly is also Que Sera Sera and I decorated it with a few pearls. Ribbon is We are Memory Keepers. Annie and Ted were coloured in with Copic markers.
I really hope we are going to be seeing our Annie stamps as part of glorious projects all over the Web. :-)

Thanks for visiting xx

Copic Colour Challenge

Time for another Copic Colour Challenge. This was a really tight squeeze for me butI managed to do this card in under an hour. Believe me when I say that is quick for me, I'm not a quick crafter! I'm really really happy with it though.

Juliet chose the colours for the challenge this week, and these were it:

I coloured the main image, a Sugar Nellie stamp, with these and coordinating colours. The flowers are white sheer Maya Road flowers, which I coloured with RV34 and then doodled a little on with a white pen. Spellbinders Nestabilities and Borderbilities dies used here, papers are K&Co Cut 'n Paste, Basic Grey Lilykate (Celery) and ATC plain cardstock.

I used a little gold charm to hang from the brad in the centre of the flower.

... and these were my colours used:

Looks a lot but then I used the three yellow/orange pens just for the little chick! LOL

Pop over to the Copic Colour Challenge blog and check out the amazing work from the other DT members.

Teenage Card

Teenagers aren't the easiest people in the world to create for, and teenage boys must be amongst the hardest. The new download collection by Louise Brigden soon to be released at Charmed Cards & Crafts will surely cater for this area of concern, plus most of the images would be great on a girlie card too- perhaps together with images from the Holly & Madison collections. The new collection features Mikey, boyfriend to Madison (& Holly I expect).

On this card I layered the image on several mats cut out with Nestabilities Label Three dies. I tried to make the smaller patches at the back look like jean pockets. All the chipboard is by Rusty Pickle, the stars were coloured with my Copics, and the rest inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "broken china". The ink was also used for inking all the edges on everything else. The dotted paper is K&Co Broken China. I didn't realise both were "Broken China" until just now LOL

The sentiment "Cool" was created in MS Word using Word Art.

There are some great images in the new bundle, you'll love it!!

Sunday Challenge

It was my turn to set the challenge on Dottie's World today - or rather the world of Dottie, George, Holly, Madison, Girls about Town, lots of animals and... (shhh, come back Monday and you willl find out). That got you guessing I bet, and no, it's not our new stamps :-)

My challenge this week was:

CHRISTMAS! Yes really! The weather is getting warmer but lets not forget that cosy feeling we only get at Christmas. It's never too early to start preparing for the big day so this time I want to see a Christmas project, what you do is up to you as long as you include a Charmed download.

....and I am giving a prize to one of the entrants.

Here is my DT card:

I used "Karen" from the Girls about Town bundle, and Reindeer Dottie from the Christmas bundle (both from Charmed Cards & Crafts). I composed the background from various images and decorated with Snow Writer (it was almost empty so there's not as much as I wanted) and Glossy Accents. The lace is new in at Charmed Cards & Crafts (I love it!). Papers are from a mixed K&Co paper pad I had and the swirls are cut on my Silhouette from one of the papers. I used Copics to colour in the images. The sentiment was done on the computer.

Well I don't know about you but I could do with a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine now!!

Have a wonderful Sunday xxx
