Copic Challenge

Time for another challenge on the Copics Challenge Blog. The design team were each sent a stamp from this weeks sponsors, Toodle and Binks to use on our projects. Here is my finished card using that stamp:

The required colours today are:

I didn't have two of those colours so picked appropriate shades closest to them.
These were all my colours used for colouring the main image:

Sunday Challenge - Bright and Beautiful

Time for another Dottie's World challenge. Juliet set the challenge today and it was a good one: "All things bright and Beautiful". Juliet wanted to see bright colours, plus of course one of the Charmed downloads. This is my card:

The image is a digi-stamp from the Girls about Town bundle. The gorgeous Daisy Lace trim is newly in at Charmed Cards & Crafts and will be uploaded to the site later today. Prima flowers, punched leaves (McGill punch), frame and corners cut on Silhouette.

I hope you will join us in the challenge. Pop over to Dottie's World and check out the other projects by the DT.

Thanks for looking. Have a lovely Sunday. xxx

Copic Challenge

I do really like the colour challenges on the Copics Challenge blog, they make you use combinations that perhaps you wouldn't normally try. This is the combination today:

I didn't have R22 but used a colour as close as possible:

As I used Willow with Cookies (Whiff of Joy stamp) I went with a cookie theme; the background is Karen Foster Cookie paper so it's cookies all round - yum yum ☺☺☺. I created the sentiment myself.

These were all the colours used:

Easter Card - The Chocolate Egg House!

Wouldn't you like to live in a house like this? Or at least go visit and swipe an egg or two!! This is a big card, standing at 25cm tall, made for my Monday Mojo spot on Dottie's World. The house, base of roof, door and garden path was made from American Traditional plain cardstock (available at Charmed Cards & Crafts).

The roof was covered in eggs cut on my Silhouette and painted with Copic markers. A strip of Felt Fusion Easter Eggs sits at the bottom of the roof.

I used two of the Charmed Cards & Crafts digi Stamps, namely Easter Holly 3-in-1 from the Holly and Madison bundle, and Henry Hare from the Animal Magic bundle. The grass, chicks and vine was cut on my Silhouette in white cardstock and coloured in with copics, as was the two main images. A Karen Foster rub-on was used for the sentiment.

Holly was attached to the card using foam pads to slightly elevate her.

Sunday Challenge - Shaped Card

Time for another challenge on Dottie's World. This time Louise set the challenge and this is what she wanted:

I want you to make a shaped card this week - any shape other than squares or rectangles please! Oh and don't forget your Charmed download!

Well I'm in an Easter-card making type of mood and created two such cards today (OK I'm writing this Saturday), one for Sunday's challenge and one for my Monday Mojo spot on Dottie's World tomorrow - both are shaped cards so both comply equally.

The shape I chose for today is an Easter egg, nice and simply sure, but I have to confess I spent quite some time on this one.

The shaped egg was cut on my Silhouette and I formed the card itself around it.

The inside is decorated with K&Co paper.

My Charmed digi stamp is Henry Hare from the Animal Magic collection. I think he looks cute in yellow and green LOL

Easter Basket with eggs again cut on the Silhouette.

Pop over to Dottie's World and check out the gorgeous shaped creations from the other DT members.

Thanks for looking. Have a lovely Sunday (don't forget to put your clocks forward!!).

Copic Colour Challenge

It's Wednesday and therefore time for another challenge on the Copic Challenge blog. It's a colour challenge this time and these are the required colours.

That RV04 really is a shocking pink, if you don't want to use it too much then a little bow or whatever coloured in the shade would suffice. The frame (cut on my Silhouette) has been edged with R20 as well as being used on the main image. I did make this last minute in the middle of the night so please excuse any stray "brush strokes".

Papers are K&Co, flowers Prima, brad and rub-ons are Basic Grey. The little charm is a Marion and Me Charm. All available at Charmed Cards & Crafts.

These were all colours I used:

Pop over the Copic Challenge Blog and see what the other DT members came up with.

TFL and have a lovely day.

Twice, or even THRICE as nice!

The lovely Adele set the challenge on Dotties World today and she wanted to see two or more of the Charmed downloads.

I used three of our "digi stamps":

My mojo was sadly lacking and I spent ages either thinking about what to do or faffing about doing it!! Pop over to Dottie's World and see what the other DT members came up with.
TFL and have a lovely Sunday xxx

Oriental ....

I haven't posted the card I made for my Monday Mojo spot on Dottie's World, here it is:

...and an alternative version cutting around the parasol:

The Holly & Madison bundles are so versatile. The original is perhaps more generic but don't let that put you off the second bundle. I think the card(s) above could be used for anything, whether Mother's Day, Birthday, Friend, or "just because"; so just because it features an oriental image that doesn't mean it's going to be difficult to use. The K&Co Mira products would look fabulous with this image too; here I am using mainly DCWV Far East products.

Please join in the challenge on Dotti's World, last day tomorrow! It's a fun sketch challenge PLUS you could win a prize just by entering :-)

Copic Challenge - Pictorial Inspiration

Interesting challenge over on the Copic Challenge blog today. This challenge is based on this picture

I used the picture to its full potential, exploring colours and shapes equally. The horizontal lines are represented by both the flowers and scalloped chippie shape. The vertical panels are obvious and all the colours were plucked from the painting.

Everything has been coloured with Copics, from the images through to the background papers, the Chippie shape and even the flowers. I used an image from our latest Holly & Madison's World Tour download bundle.

The meaning behind the three pictures? Well I wanted to focus on a strong colour from the painting for each one. It is intended to be the same girl on holiday (see how she gets browner in each picture?), so same bag, hat and shoes but a girl can't wear the same bikini every day!

It's quite a plain and simple card but it shows the Copics well I think.

These are the colours used:

Please join in the challenge, we are sponsoring it so you can get your hands on a free download bundle of your choice ☺As usual the other DT members have created some stunning work.

Sunday Challenge - Sketch

My turn to set the challenge today on Dottie's World and I decided that a sketch would be nice.

One firm stipulation is that the card must have some sort of fancy edge, mine here is a row of Easter eggs as I decided on an Easter themed card.

Once again I am using the lovely Holly in the Garden image, it is so versatile. My chicks were cut on my Silhouette but the beaks didn't cut well so I did those separately. Same with the legs, too spindly when cutting small so I had to draw them instead. Gawd knows what happened to the tiny circles that was meant as eyes but you only notice they haven't got any when it's blown up like this LOL
Holly and the chicks were coloured with Copic markers. I also colured some of the hyacinths in the basket with them.

They look quite cute sitting on top of the card I think. The Easter Basket with eggs was also cut on the Silhouette, although I pinched one of the larger eggs from the egg border - which I also cut on the Silhouette! I didn't notice until just now that one of the pens has bled around the hat. Oh well, I actually think it looks as though I intended to do that LOL

Pop over to Dottie's World and check out the amazing card created by the design team! Oh and I am offering a prize this week also, so don't miss out.
