It's a Girl Thing

I have the headache from hell today, and I strongly suspect it was brought on from an overindulgence of chocolates! It was my birthday yesterday and I had so many chocolate gifts that I absolutely had to try - and one unfortunately led to many!

To try and alleviate my pain I decided to make a card for the Sunday Challenge on Dottie's World. As the theme was "It's a girls thing" I used one of our brand new "Sugar & Spice" images, they are just too cute for words! This card was uber quick to make, apart from the colouring in it took me under half an hour, and that's quick for me - and then two hours to get the pictures taken, the light is awful at the moment.

A very simple inside ready for the greeting

I used one one of the new Martha Stewart Deep Edge punches for this card, isn't it fab?

This is such a lovely image drawn by our Lou. You can get it for free if you win our blog candy :-)

Products used here are:
Image from the Sugar & Spice digi-stamp bundle. I coloured in with Copic Markers.
Heart border is paper from Imaginisce Perfectly Posh, all rub-ons and ribbon are from that range too.
Plain cardstock
Cake inside the card is K&Co Madeline Chipboard
Prima Swirls
Tools used: Tim Holtz Paper Distresser, Nestabilites dies, Martha Stewart Deep Edge punch.

Very simple card to make as the edge and the image really is all it needs.

I mentioned it was my birthday yesterday and one of the highlight of my day was when a totally beautiful, and absolutely massive, bouquet of flowers were delivered. They were from my very special friend Lou, just take a look!! Sorry for the backdrop, the only place I can get any light is in the conservatory.

Totally stunning!! Thank you so much Lou my darling ♥♥♥♥♥xxxxxxxxx

I also got cards from some of my wonderful forum members, Mellie, Shell and Lea. Here they are with my card from Lou:

In order of the picture the cards are from: Shell (who also gave me a box of Hotel Chocolat Pink Champagne Truffles, cor they were nice (yep, all gone), then Lou's card, Mellie's card and Lea's card. Thanks girls xxxxxxxxxxxx

I hope you are all enjoying the Christmas break. Thanks for visiting ♥

Merry Christmas!

It is Christmas Eve and in Denmark that is the day that all the children have been (im)patiently waiting for since last Christmas Eve. Living in England we celebrate both days, so double the work for poor ol' mum (i.e. me LOL). What better way to celebrate than by giving away some presents to YOU!! We are already giving away every single day on the Charmed Cards & Crafts site, which will culminate in three draws at the end of the month.

Our candy here is for anyone, anywhere in the world. I am going to post the candy later today. In the meantime I want to show you a card made with one the stamps we are giving away (we are not giving away this stamp of course but a fresh copy LOL. This stamp is part of our Mo Manning stamp range.

Simply decorated inside:

I told you yesterday how I chose two designs to replicate and this was the second of those.

Products used:
Mo Manning stamp coloured in with Copic markers and trimmed with Flower Soft Polar White.
Paper is Bo Bunny and Plain Cardstock
K&Co Evergreen tags are on the front and I coloured the edges in red.
K&Co Evergreen Tape also on the front
K&Co Snowflakes
Circles were cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities dies

So pop back later today and add your name to the candy draw.

Noel Peace....

Noel Peace - that is the name of the stamp I used for the card I am showing you today, and I will be giving away one of these in my aforementioned candy.

Once again I embellished the inside of the card. Nothing too fancy but it really makes a difference.

I was running out of time so decided to take a couple of my designs and make similar cards. This was one of them. One of the things that takes me the longest when colouring images is deciding which colours to use, when you already have them in front of you it really does make the process so much quicker.

Here are the products used on my card:
Stamp is Sarah Kaye Noel Peace, coloured with Copic markers
Paper is K&Co Evergreen and Plain Cardstock
Dress it up Buttons Garland and "Rejoyce".
Imaginisce Polar Expression Ribbon
Bo Bunny Bauble Sticker matted on plain cardstock (I've just realised this is one I have forgotten to put on site, I'll link when added).
The "December 25th" is a K&Co Evergreen Layered Tag Accent
Circle are cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities dies

Thanks for visiting the Charmed corner of the Web :-)

...and yet ANOTHER day closer!!

Well if your children are anything like my children then you will be hearing a lot of happy screeches and joyful laughter, as well as Christmas songs being belted out continuously :-) Tis indeed beginning to look like Christmas, which leads me nicely to my card:

Decorating the inside of my cards have become a norm now, I love the heaviness and quality of the card upon completion.

Image coloured with Copic markers. Products used:
K&Co Evergreen paper, "NOEL" Epoxy alpha stickers, Fa la la la la and chipboard pine cone.
Plain cardstock
Distress Ink
Pearls
Prima Lace
Tools: Martha Stewart Pine Edging punch - Tim Holtz Paper Distresser.

Basic Grey Wassail and K&Co Evergreen Papers. Prima Lace. Image coloured with Copics and trimmed with Polar White. Embellishments are Imaginisce Polar Expression (Poinsettia) and K&Co Evergreen (Envelope on front and sentiment inside). I used a Martha Stewart punch for the corners and Nestabilites inside.

Nearly Christmas!!

..and it's a whole month since I last blogged! Why is it that all my good intentions last for a precious short time only?

There has been many new scrummy products added to our shop, don't forget to check out the "What's New" page. You can also subscribe to our newsletter and receive updates when new stock/ideas/offers are available.

I want to show you some of the Christmas cards I have made this year, other than the ones you have already seen on the main site. Here is one of them.

Quite a large card decorated inside and out. The gorgeous red poinsettia is Prima Marketing.

Patterned paper is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses "Rooftop".

I coloured the image with Copic markers and decorated the trim with Flower Soft Polar White. Reindeer on front are Dress it up Buttons. Martha Stewart Rings PATP punch used for the edges on the front. Plain cardstock. Reindeer is a K&Co Evergreen Acetate and the border inside is also K&Co Evergreen (adhesive border). The rub-on inside the card on the circles (cut with Spellbinders dies) is Imaginsce Snowy Jo. I have used red Stickles on the red layer on the front between the two green layers matting the image. You can't see it here because I can't get the light on these dark days so the pictures aren't great.

I will show some more over the next couple of days and on Christmas Eve I will show you two cards I made, and will be giving away the stamps I used in a little blog candy. So make sure you pop back for that. Not only are we giving away the two stamps but we am also giving away some of our new digi-stamp bundles. So if you want an extra Christmas present don't forget to check back :-)

Thanks for visiting ♥

Spring is Back..

Would be nice to completely bypass the winter (except we would still want Christmas!), but it's not the season spring that's back - it's a stamp from the Sarah Kay range, called "Spring is back", which I used on the card I am showing you today. We stock both everyday and Christmas stamps by Sarah Kay, you can find them here.

I love the quality of the Bo Bunny ranges and the paper I used for my background is from their Flutter Butter range.

I decided to decorate the inside too this time.

Gives a different quality to the card when it's decorated inside I think, and the card feels much more substantial when handled.

Other products used:
Image: Sarah Kay "Spring is Back"
Papers and CS: Bo Bunny Flutter Butter "Willow". Plain AC cardstock. Basic Grey paper
Embellishments: Lace - Petaloo Flowers - ATB Epoxy Brads - Habico Pearls - K&Co jewels - K&Co adhesive border - Petaloo Flowers
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities (Inside circles)

Must mention that we have the new Mo Manning stamps available for pre-order HERE.

Clocks back tonight so an extra hour in bed - yay!

Thanks for visiting ♥

ATC Swap at Charmed Craft Talk

Petra is hosted another ATC on the Charmed Craft Talk forum, this time she chose the theme "home". The swaps are open to all active members so why not pop over and take a look :-)

I joined this month and created my three swaps. I haven't got a lot of experience with ATC's, this is my fourth attempt, but I do find them fun as absolutely anything goes.

Products used:
The background paper on all three cards is leftover bits of paper that I crumbled and distressed and then inked all over the surface.
Houses are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses chipboard
The blue edging/frame is Flower Soft
various other embellishments to complete

Tfl. Have a great evening xx

Dreamer Card and New Products

This is one of my favourite images from the Charmed Delectable Stamps/Digi stamps (yep it's available as a stamp now too, HERE).

I added glitter dust and glossy accents as can be seen in the picture below where I used flash:

This is what I used on my card, which is size 6"x6" (everything is available at Charmed Cards & Crafts):
Sentiment and stamp from Charmed Cards & Crafts. Stamp has been coloured with Copic markers as has the bouquet of flowers.
Fancy Pants "The Daily Grind" background paper (from the paper pad)
Pink Basic Grey paper edged with a Martha Stewart punch and decorated with segments from a large Prima Swirl
Pink Paper Cord
Pearls are painted with Copic markers to match the colours
Maya Road Chipboard flower
Marion & Me Girl Charm hanging from the paper cord.

Terrible lighting today so you'll have to excuse the quality of the pictures. We have to get used to that now winter is approaching (blimming freezing too here in London today).

Have you visited the shop lately? We have had a huge load of new products in store, just check out the "What's New" page to see everything. Lots more coming too, including:

Basic Grey Nook & Pantry
Bo Bunny Love Bandit
Bo Bunny Persuasion
Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade
Fancy Pants Rough Tough
Fancy Pants Christmas Magic
Fancy Pants Little Sprouts
Fancy Pants Dancing Girl
Imaginisce Let's Roll
Imaginisce Perfectly Posh
We R Memory Keepers - Say What Tablets
More Martha Stewart punches
K & Company Evergreen

That should all be with us by the end of this month.

Thanks for popping by :-)

Hello!

Crikey it's been a while since I posted to the blog! I haven't been crafting much, the only things I have done is put together a CJ for the Charmed circle and make up a couple of classes. I don't know why I left creating my CJ until the last minute (but I did) but it didn't turn out too bad in the end. Here are some pictures:

My theme for this CJ was "Do You Believe?" I used a 7Gypsies naked book which I actually coloured with Copic markers before decorating.

Welcome and rules pages. Again I coloured the pages with a green Copic marker before decorating:

My own double layout into my journal.

I did my journalling here on one of the large gorgeous Take Note's from the Basic Grey Lemonade collection. These are a new addition to their ranges, and a very welcome one! Chipboard is Fancy Pants Daily Grind (Available at Charmed Cards & Crafts).

I found this gorgeous picture of an angel on the Internet and crackle glazed over it. Click on the picture to see detail. My whole layout is quite ethereal and the distressed triple frame I created with a gold metallic marker on white bazzill add to that feel. I made a smaler frame like that to mat the sentiment I created on the first page of this layout.

Finally my sign-in page.

Lets end with a bit of music. Have you been watching the new XFactor auditions? There have been some crackers amongst the soggy crisps but this one is my absolute favourite:

This guy can sing!!
I mentioned a couple of classes I made for the site and here they are.
TFL ♥♥
