Charmed Digi Challenge

Well it's not really Dottie's World anymore, it is shared by the many other characters that makes up the Charmed digi stamps :-) My turn to set the challenge today and this is it:

The challenge is simply "Coffee and Cream with spots or stripes" - and a Charmed download of course.

I have lots of spots and stripes on my card and the colours are of course coffee & cream. The digi-stamp used here is Puddle Love from the Dottie & George Love & Marriage collection. I think this is such a special image, just delightful; I absolutely love it and never tire of using it.

A liberal use of Glossy Accents on the puddle and umbrella provided a nice "wet look" just perfect for this image.

This is roughly what I used to make this card:

• Digi Stamp: Puddle LOve from the Dottie & George Love & Marriage collection
• Papers: Brown textured cardstock. Pixie Press paper (leftover from our sale)
• Embellishments: K&Co Ancestry rhinestones. Petaloo Flowers and flower centre. K&Co buttons and lettering (Life's Journey). Cream cotton lace
  
• Tools & Misc: Nestabilities, McGill Pine Punch, Glossy Accents, Distress Inks
  

I coloured the image using Copic markers.

Mikey and Madison

These images do go so well together. This is my Monday Mojo card created for Dottie's World. I used two Charmed digi-stamps on my card: Mikey and Madison (from the World Tour bundle). Certain elements from the Madison image were erased to fit in with what I wanted to do here.

Cream Lace
Frame is cut with a Spellbinders Borderbilities die
Edges are cut with a Martha Stewart Edge punch
Flowers cut from the brown paper with a daisy punch
Pearls are K&Co Margo
Dovecraft metal flower brad
Edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink.

Gissa Kiss - Free Sentiment....

I don't know, I sit there for ages slaving away making a sentiment circle and then what do I do? I give it away! Ahh, I must love you lot!! :o) So my sentiment circle I made for the Sunday Challenge on Dottie's World yesterday is up for grabs, all you have to do is let me know you want it by dropping me a line. I made this card for the Monday Mojo spot on Dottie's World (link in the right-hand bar), using my sentiment of course.

I used the transparent coloured Puddle Love image against the sentiment and printed on white Bazzill. This shows that the sentiment circles can form an integral part of your design.

New Goodies...

Lots of new stash arrived last week, the new Peppermint Twist by K&Co, Cloud9 Design and Heidi Grace stash, plus other luverlies. As I needed to make another wedding card I decided to try out the Heidi Grace papers and chipboard (Cherrywood Lane used here). Heart and wording was cut on the Silhouette. The chipboard looks quite purple on the pictures but is actually exactly the same colour as the flowers on the Heidi Grace paper.

Also seems like there's glitter everywhere on the picture but really you can't see that IRL - unless you have zoom vision, which I aint!

I'm expecting to be rid of the glitter on my face by next Wednesday!

Must get a new camera!!

I really must get myself a new camera! Currently I am using a very humble Olympus D-545, which is so not meeting my ever-increasing needs! My little Olympus does not showcase any work I do very well at all; often they are barely recognisable as what is in front of me! So I guess I shall start hunting through the plethora of cameras out there!

I don't get much time to "create" these days, with my time taken up totally by work and family, I'm sure you know how it is, but I had to make a wedding card for my niece in Denmark so buckled down and ignored everything else for an hour. I used the new Basic Grey Pheriphery paper, K&Co wedding Grand Adhesion (so cool! It lights up the card and the bride and groom in a cascading light display), K&Co wedding pearls, a Basic Grey rub-on, plus a flourish cut on the Quickutz Silhouette. The card was edged with silver ink, and the flourish dabbed with metallic silver ink. You can't see the effect on here very well but it looks rather nice IRL.
